Make your own chocolate chips 5 ingredients

This recipe for chocolate curd has been perfected after countless attempts and failures in my own kitchen. The key is the right chocolate and the right sugar. The chocolate is gently melted and then finished off with a topping that makes it extra crunchy. Nothing is better than homemade chocolate - trust me!

Directions

40 min.
1. Step

To make your own chocolate chips, break the dark chocolate into pieces and place them in a heat-resistant bowl. You will achieve the best results if you melt the chocolate in a bain-marie at a low temperature. Make sure that no water gets into the chocolate, as this can affect the consistency.

2. Step

Meanwhile, chop up the nuts and dried fruit. I have learned here that the pieces should not be too small so that they come into their own later in the chocolate.

3. Step

Once the chocolate has melted, pour it onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle over the salt and optionally the coconut sugar and spread the pieces of nut and fruit evenly.

4. Step

Now melt the white chocolate in the same way as the dark chocolate and drizzle it over the still liquid dark chocolate with a spoon. Use a wooden skewer to draw patterns in the chocolate to create a marbled look.

5. Step

Leave the broken chocolate to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours. You can then break it into pieces and enjoy! The leftover chocolate can easily be stored in an airtight container.
