  • 100 g Cake flour Added to
  • 75 ml Dashi stock Added to
  • 1 tablespoon Milk Tsuyu sauce Added to
  • 3 eggs Added to
  • 2 tablespoon pickled ginger Added to
  • 100 g Pork belly (thinly sliced) Added to
  • 1 tablespoon Japanese mayonnaise Added to
  • 150 g cabbage Added to
  • to taste ketchup Added to
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Added to

Directions

1. Step

Add Worcester sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, honey, and soy sauce in a small bowl and blend the ingredients for okonomiyaki sauce.

2. Step

Add 1 egg and cake flour for the batter using a sieve in a large bowl. Mix it by whisk until there are no clusters.

3. Step

After that, cover the bowl using a plastic sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

4. Step

Cut the cabbage into pieces.

5. Step

Now add batter, cabbage, Tenkasu, Benishoga, and two egg in a separate bowl. Moreover, you can add other ingredients like cheese, kimchee, mocha, etc.

6. Step

Add 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil in a frying pan and heat it on medium-high. Place the mixture at the center of the frying pan, with pork belly on its top.

7. Step

Flip it over using soft hands once the bottom becomes brown and crispy. After flipping, cover the pan using a lid and leave for about 5 minutes on a medium-low flame.

8. Step

Check if it’s perfectly cooked using a toothpick. Season with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and aonori. Enjoy your meal!
