- 1⁄4 cup melted butter
- 700 g softened cream cheese
- 3⁄4 cup white sugar
- 3 egg
- 11⁄2 cup canned pumpkin pie filling
- 1 cup sour cream
- 60 g semisweet chocolate squares
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup whipped cream
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C.
Mix the melted butter and the chocolate crumbs in a bowl and then transfer them to the bottom of a 9-inch springform cake pan.
Add the cream cheese and sugar to a large bowl and mix until smooth with the help of an electric whisker.
Then, combine canned pumpkin pie filling, eggs, and cornstarch with the cream cheese mixture and beat it well.
Now, pour the cream cheese batter on top of the chocolate crumb crust.
Bake the pumpkin cheesecake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes and check if the centre has been set or not with the help of a toothpick.
Let the cake cook for 10 minutes.
Once cooled, the cheese can now be decorated by spreading the sour cream over it evenly.
To make the spiderweb decoration on the pumpkin cheesecake, melt chocolate with vegetable oil in a heatproof bowl over boiling water. Transfer the melted chocolate to a fine-nozzle piping bag.
Create lines like the spokes of a wheel from the centre and use a toothpick to form web details.
Finally, lift the sides of the pan and serve the delicious Halloween-themed pumpkin cheesecake with whip cream decorations!
