Raspberry liqueur

Raspberry liqueur is a delight for the palate, which enchants with its deep and intense flavor. In addition, it makes an ideal gift for loved ones. I tried the recipe for this raspberry liqueur many years ago, and since then, it has become my regular summer ritual. When making it, the most important thing is to use fresh and ripe raspberries, which I pick by the handful in the summer in my garden.

Directions

360 min.
1. Step

The first step is to wash and dry the raspberries thoroughly. Then put the raspberries in a large jar that has an airtight seal.

2. Step

Add spirit to the jar with the fruit. Pour it over the raspberries so that they are completely covered. We close the jar tightly and set it aside for 2 weeks in a dark and cool place. Stirring every few days, it's a good idea to gently shake the jar so that the spirit better soaks up the fruit and dissolves all the flavors well.

3. Step

After this time, we prepare sugar syrup. We boil 500ml of water in a pot and add sugar to it. We stir until the sugar dissolves. We cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes until the syrup thickens. After boiling, we leave it to cool.

4. Step

After two weeks, strain the raspberries through a strainer, and squeeze the remaining fruit to get as much liquid as possible. Add sugar syrup to the resulting liquid and stir until the ingredients are combined.

5. Step

Now, we pour the finished liquor into bottles. We pour it as far as it will go, and then seal it tightly. We set the bottles aside for another two weeks in a cool and dark place, so that the liqueur matures and acquires its full flavor.

6. Step

After this time the liqueur is ready for consumption. It tastes delicious served chilled, straight from the refrigerator.
