Perfect Oven Baked Pork Leg Roast Recipe
This pork leg roast recipe, also known as roast pork leg or pork leg roast, is a flavorful dish that's perfect for a family dinner or special occasions. - 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbls fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 2 onions, cut into quarters
- 2 carrots, cut into large chunks
- 1⁄2 Cup dry white wine
- 11⁄2 cups of chicken stock

1. Step
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Step
Mix the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil in a bowl to make a marinade.
3. Step
Rub the marinade generously all over the pork leg roast, ensuring to get it into any crevices. Leave the leg to absorb the marinade for an hour.
4. Step
Place the quartered onions and chopped carrots at the bottom of a roasting pan.
5. Step
Place the marinated pork leg on top of the vegetables in the roasting pan, ensuring it is not touching the bottom of the pan.
6. Step
Pour the white wine and chicken stock into the bottom of the roasting pan.
7. Step
Place the roasting pan in the oven and roast for about 5 hours, or until the internal temperature of the pork leg reaches 165°F (74°C).
8. Step
Let the cooked pork leg rest for at least 20 minutes before carving and serving, allowing the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
9. Step
Serve with simple sides such as mashed potatoes, a fresh salad, or roasted vegetables for a delicious meal.
