A simple recipe adapted from Southern Living: fresh okra, tossed with olive oil and seasoned, cooked on a hot grill. Game plan: You’ll need to make a batch of Yogurt Dipping Sauce with Lemon and Basil.
- 2 lb fresh okra, trimmed
- 2 tbl olive oil
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 3⁄4 tsp freshly ground black pepper, plus more for garnishing
- yogurt dipping sauce with lemon and basil
In a large bowl, toss the okra, with olive oil, and the salt and measured pepper.
Grill the okra with the grill lid closed at high (400-450°F), to 3 minutes on each side or until tender. Cool 5 minutes.
Transfer okra to a serving dish, garnish with more black pepper, and serve with Yogurt Dipping Sauce with Lemon and Basil.
