Directions

60 min.
1. Step

Start by combining the minced pork, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger paste, white pepper and sesame oil in a bowl. Thoroughly mix them until they are well combined. Remember, the more you mix, the better the flavor permeates the meat.

2. Step

Then, place a small amount of the pork mixture into the middle of each wanton wrapper. From my experience, it's better to start with less because too much filling will make it impossible to close the dumpling correctly.

3. Step

Wet the edges of the wanton wrapper with a little bit of water. This will help it to seal properly when you fold it.

4. Step

Fold the wrapper over the meat mixture and gently press down on the edges to seal it. You can also apply a quick pinch or pleat to ensure it's sealed tightly.

5. Step

Once all dumplings are ready, steam them in a bamboo steamer for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit. If you don't have a bamboo steamer, any steamer will do. Steaming is a healthier option and keeps the flavor intact.

6. Step

Serve hot with any dipping sauce of your choice.
