VIDEORECIPE Creamy and tasty tomato soup recipe
Making a good soup at home that is not a sachet soup is easier than it sounds. Following this tomato soup recipe, you will obtain a creamy and tasty dish, ideal for cooling down in summer or warming up in winter. It's always the best of meals!
- 1 kg tomato
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp Dried Rosemary
- fresh basil leaves
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- black pepper
- olive oil
With a knife, make a small cross-shaped cut in the base of each tomato, about 1 cm deep. Then we put them in a pan with plenty of boiling water and leave them there for one minute. Peel.
In another pan, heat a little oil over a low heat. When it is hot, add the garlic cloves, onion and carrot. Season with salt and pepper and stir with a spoon. Cook for about 10 minutes.
Add the peeled tomato. Season with salt and pepper and add the thyme, rosemary and paprika. Mix and cook for a further 15 minutes.
Pour the vegetables into a blender. Add the water from the tomatoes and blend until you have a tomato soup.
Return the soup to the pan and heat again. Leave to cook over a low heat for a further 5 minutes.
Serve on a plate. Sprinkle with a little chopped fresh basil.
