Basmati rice is rich in nutrients and its main feature is its pleasant aroma. Compared to the usual rice, it is larger in size and measures twice as much when cooked, making it plump and robust.

Wash the rice. Put it in a saucepan with cold water and with the help of a spoon, stir it.
Strain the rice and repeat this operation three or four times, until the water becomes transparent. Drain well and set aside.
Pour two tablespoons of oil into a saucepan and heat over medium heat.
Add the rice and sauté it for about 1 minute.
Add the hot water. Add the salt and cover the pan.
Cook the basmati rice for about fifteen minutes over medium-low heat.
Remove the pan from the heat, strain the rice and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, serve and enjoy!
