Beef Roulades

Roulades

  • 6 Pieces Beef Roulades Added to
  • 3 tbsp mustard Added to
  • 2 TL salt Added to
  • 2 TL pepper Added to
  • 6 Slices bacon Added to
  • 3 medium size Onions Added to
  • 15 Pieces sour pickles Added to

Sauce

  • 750 ml beef broth Added to
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste Added to
  • 2 TL paprika Added to
  • 125 ml red wine Added to
  • 125 ml cream Added to
  • 2 tbsp flour Added to
  • 50 g butter Added to

1. Step

Prepare the beef roulades. Wash them and pat them dry. Spread mustard on each roulade and season them with salt and pepper.

2. Step

Top each roulade with a slice of bacon. Cut the onions into thin rings and the pickles into strips. Distribute the onion rings and pickle strips over the roulades.

3. Step

Roll up the roulades and secure them with kitchen twine or roulade needles.

4. Step

Fry the roulades in a pot with hot oil all around. Take them out of the pot and set them aside.

5. Step

In the same pot, sauté the remaining onions. Add tomato paste and bell peppers and deglaze everything with red wine and beef broth.

6. Step

Put the roulades back in the pot and let everything simmer for about 1.5 hours.

7. Step

Remove the roulades from the pot. Mix flour with some water and use it to thicken the sauce. Let it boil again and stir in the cream. Season the sauce with salt and pepper and add the butter until it has melted.

8. Step

Return the roulades to the sauce and let everything boil briefly once again. Your delicious beef roulades are ready. Enjoy your meal!
