Original Korean Bo ssam recipe
Korean Bo ssam it's a healthy meal and quite easy to prepare. Kimchi and vegetable leaves are the perfect match for this dish. Don't miss the recipe!
- 500 g lean pork
- 500 g bacon
- 1 clove ginger
- 5 cloves garlic
- 10 black peppercorns
- 1 star anise
- 4 cloves bay leaves
- 2 tablespoon salt
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 500 ml beer
- 2 l water
Tie with a string of ginger, bay leaf, black pepper, aniseed and cloves. This is the bouquet garni.
Put the bouquet garni in a pot and add the garlic, salt and sugar.
Add the beer.
Pour the water.
Add the pork and bacon.
Place the pot on high heat and bring to a boil.
Cover and cook for 25 minutes. Then lower the heat and cook for a further 25 minutes.
Drain on a plate, cover and leave to stand for 20 minutes.
Cut the meat into thin slices.
Remove the hard part of the kimchi, roll it up and cut it in half.
Place the kimchi on the same plate as the meat.
Wrap the meat with lettuce leaves, kale or any vegetables you like. It will add a nice blended texture to your mouth. Enjoy!
