- 8 oz spaghetti
- 12 oz Cherry Tomatoes halved
- 2 oz Anchovies
- 3 cloves Garlic sliced
- basil leaves
- 2 dried hot peppers
- black pepper
- extra virgin olive oil
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the spaghetti and cook as per the package instructions. Reserve a cup of pasta water.
Meanwhile, add a large drizzle of olive oil to a frying pan and heat over medium. Add in the anchovies and sauté for a minute. Then, add the garlic and sauté with the anchovies for one minute.
Add in the cherry tomatoes and hot pepper. Sauté over low heat for about five minutes until the pasta is ready.
Once the pasta is ready, scoop it directly into the frying pan. Mix the pasta with the tomatoes and anchovies sauce.
Add a ladleful of the pasta water if it is not saucy enough and cook over medium to high heat for one minute.
Add a few basil leaves and serve.
