VIDEORECIPE Homemade marshmallow recipe
Marshmallows are one of the most popular and beloved treats for children and adults. In the United States, they are eaten roasted or toasted, and elsewhere they're also eaten with chocolate or mocha coffee or as part of other treats.
- 250 ml water
- 25 g strawberry gelatine
- 24 g unflavoured gelatine
- 500 g refined sugar
- Butter or margarine
- icing sugar
In a bowl, add the hot water, strawberry gelatine, unflavoured gelatine and mix very well.
Add 500g of sugar and mix again.
Whisk the mixture until it doubles in volume.
Put the mixture into a mould greased with butter and sugar and spread well. Leave to stand for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle sugar and icing sugar on top because it won't stick when unmoulding.
When unmoulding, sprinkle sugar and icing sugar over the marshmallow.
With a knife previously greased with butter, cut into cubes.
Enjoy and share with your family and friends the best marshmallows you have ever tasted.
