Filipino Pancit Pork & Shrimp Noodle Stir-Fry

Pancit is a popular, traditional noodle dish from the Philippines. Simple yet full of Asian tangy flavors, this Filipino delicacy is something you can never miss. The recipe is a wonderful mix of stir-fried noodles, assorted vegetables, chicken or pork and shrimp sautéed in soy sauce and citrus flavor, with garnishing of green onions and lemon wedges.

  • 8 oz Pancit Bihon Noodles Added to
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Added to
  • 1 onion, chopped Added to
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Added to
  • 12 lb Pork, thinly sliced Added to
  • 12 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Added to
  • 2 Carrots, julienned Added to
  • 1 Cup Green beans, sliced diagonally Added to
  • 2 cups Cabbage, shredded Added to
  • 2 cups chicken broth Added to

For Sauce:

  • 14 Cup soy sauce Added to
  • juice from one lemon Added to
  • Salt & pepper to taste Added to

For Garnishing:

  • 2 green onions, chopped Added to
  • Fresh Lemon wedges Added to

1. Step

Firstly, soak the Pancit Bihon Noodles in warm water until they become soft, then drain and set aside.

2. Step

Meanwhile, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Step

Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the heated oil and sauté until they are soft and fragrant.

4. Step

Add the thinly sliced pork to the skillet and cook until it is no longer pink.

5. Step

Next, add the shrimp and keep cooking until they turn pink.

6. Step

Add the carrots, green beans, and cabbage to the skillet, and stir-fry until they are soft.

7. Step

In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.

Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, and then add the softened noodles, stirring to combine all the ingredients.

9. Step

Drizzle the sauce over the noodle mix, ensuring everything is evenly coated.

10. Step

Continue to cook the Pancit over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the noodles have absorbed most of the broth and are well cooked.

11. Step

Transfer it to a serving tray or dish, garnishing with green onions and lemon wedges.
