- 18 small spring onions
- 250 ml red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon grenadine
- 1 tsp salt
Peel the spring onions. Cook for 4 minutes. Drain the spring onions using a sieve and leave them to cool for a few minutes.
Put the spring onions in an airtight jar. Add a teaspoon of salt and pour in enough water to cover about two centimetres of the base.
Add the red wine vinegar and grenadine. Close the jar tightly and leave it to stand for a week.
Serve the pickled spring onions. Enjoy!
