- 220 g fine flour
- 50 g sugar
- 50 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 4 tablespoon milk
- 125 g sultanas
- pinch a salt
Put the flour, the pinch of salt and the sugar in a bowl. Mix and add the cold butter into small pieces. Crumble with your fingers.
Add the whole egg and vanilla. Mix well and add the cold milk. Knead with your hands until a homogeneous dough is formed.
Roll it out with a rolling pin and form a rectangle. Place the sultanas on half of the rectangle and cover it with the other half of the dough.
Roll out the dough again and cut strips of approximately 3 cm x 10 cm.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with a little sugar.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 18 minutes or until golden brown. Ideal with coffee or tea. Enjoy.
