- 3 lbs frozen cut up peaches
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 11⁄2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 0.125 tsp nutmeg
- 1 box rolled pie crust
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Roll out half your dough into your baking dish, which should have some depth. Sprinkle it with a sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Lightly poke holes into your dough with a fork, and then bake it for 10 minutes.
Melt the butter on a pan on medium heat. Add the peaches, then cover the pan and cook for five minutes.
Add the sugar, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix until the sugar has dissolved. Then add the lemon juice and vanilla extract, mix, and cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Put the peach mixture on top of the pre-baked dough. Cut the remaining un-baked dough into stripes and arrange into a criss-cross pattern on top of the cobbler.
Sprinkle with more sugar & cinnamon, and then cook for 45 minutes. Enjoy your home-made delicious peach cobbler!
