Bake this easy cake with delicious apples and fluffy dough!

- 5 apples
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cups fine flour
- 11⁄2 tsp baking powder
- 1⁄4 tsp salt
- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Peel and cut the apples in half. Remove the seeds, then slice the top without cutting all the way through. Pour the lemon juice over them.
Beat the butter and sugar together. Add eggs, mix, then add all the dry ingredients, milk, and vanilla extract.
Pour the batter into a pan lined with parchment paper, and spread evenly. Place the apple halves on top. Brush apples with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 50-55 minutes. Brush with warm apple jelly, serve and enjoy!
