Directions

20 min.
1. Step

To prepare the white mulled wine, take a large pot and add the diced apple, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom, star anise and the sliced vanilla pod. I have found that the fruit and spices together create a perfect harmony of flavor and aroma.

2. Step

Add the sugar and pour the wine into the pot. The quality of the wine is crucial, as a good wine definitely makes the difference.

3. Step

Place the pan on the stove and heat the contents over a medium heat. Make sure that the wine does not come to the boil, otherwise the alcohol will evaporate. The trick is to heat the mixture slowly and gently.

4. Step

Allow the mulled wine to simmer for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the aromas to fully develop.

5. Step

The mulled wine is now ready to serve. Strain the mixture before serving to get rid of the spices and fruit.

6. Step

Now fill your mulled wine glasses and enjoy the warming and delicious white mulled wine!
