- 150 g fresh peppermint
- 500 g sugar
- 250 ml water
- 1⁄4 tsp citric acid
Put the chopped mint in a saucepan, pour cold water and put it to boil.
Boil the mint for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and leave covered for a few hours.
Wring out the mint and filter the resulting broth through a fine sieve
Pour sugar, add citric acid and put the pan on the stove.
After boiling, cook the syrup for 10-15 minutes.
Pour the syrup into clean jars and close the lid. Let it cool completely. Store it in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
