- 3 kg tomato
- 7 brown onions
- 650 ml malt vinegar
- 2 tablespoon salt
- 910 g white sugar
- 11⁄2 tablespoon mustard powder
- 11⁄2 tablespoon curry powder
- 3 tablespoon plain flour
Cut tomatoes and onions and add saucepan. Add 500 ml of malt vinegar. Add sugar, salt, curry powder and mustard powder and place on the stove. Simmer for 1,5 hours.
Combine the plain flour and remaining malt vinegar, then add to the saucepan.
Sterilise the glass jars in the oven at 100°C for 30 minutes. Clean and dry the jar lids.
Bottle the relish whilst both the bottles and relish are hot. Wipe away any relish that gets on the rim of the jars with a clean paper towel. Seal the lids tight. Enjoy!
