Rum Balls Ingredients

  • 212 cups vanilla wafer crumbs Added to
  • 1 Cup ground nuts (almonds, hazelnuts or pecans) Added to
  • 1 Cup Powdered sugar Added to
  • 3 tbls unsweetened cocoa powder Added to
  • 12 Cup rum Added to
  • 3 tbls light corn syrup Added to

To Decorate

  • 12 Cup powdered sugar, for coating Added to
  • 1 Package edible sparkles, for coating (optional) Added to

Directions

1. Step

In a large mixing bowl, combine the wafer crumbs, ground nuts, powdered sugar, and cocoa. Mix until well blended.

2. Step

In a separate bowl, mix together the rum and corn syrup. Then, add the liquid to the dry mix. Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed together.

3. Step

Scoop out a small amount of mixture, and roll into a ball. Repeat this process until all of the mixture is used.

4. Step

Roll each rum ball into the additional powdered sugar until they are fully coated.

5. Step

Place them on a lined cookie sheet, allowing some space between each ball for air circulation. Refrigerate overnight.

6. Step

Before serving, roll each rum ball in edible sparkles for a festive effect, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
