It's common to find Pickled ginger or Gari at Japanese sushi restaurants. Learn how to make here an authentic homemade pickled ginger with this simple recipe.
- 600 g ginger
- 300 ml vinegar
- 150 ml water
- 250 g sugar
- 10 g salt
Cut into 3-4 mm slices
Put 15 min in cold water
Sterilise the jar and lid for 5 min.
Prepare the marinade by adding the vinegar, water, sugar and salt. Then, bring to the boil
Boil the ginger for 3 to 4 min.
Put the ginger in the jar. Pour in the marinade.
Leave to cool and put in the fridge.
